Tales of Zhylan
Kōri-Oujo's Lore
In a world named Zhylan, a battle between two royal families splits the nation in half.
On one side stands The Kōri. They lead several different clans. Their objective? Reclaiming their land and freedom.
On the opposing side: a corrupt royal family, The Rai and their followers. Their objective? World domination and lots of taxes.
The Rai are able to summon almighty mythical creatures to seize control of the battles, while The Kōri rely on their elemental skills to overpower them.
However, the princess of The Kōri family feared fighting purely off of talent would never win them the ruthless war. Kōri-oujo decided to take the initiative her parents banished: allow an omnipotent being to use her body as a vessel.
The problem was, Kōri-oujo was an amateur at ritual magic. Instead of the wondrous Goddess she was hoping would consume her body, a video game-obsessed, introverted teenager from an alternate universe took control of the princess.
Now, the vessel Kōri-oujo looks like an elegant ice princess, but her personality is far from it. She doesn’t have any knowledge on Zhylan-only what she’s been able to decipher from artwork and diary entries in her room- and doesn’t speak the language (which seems to be a mix of many but primarily Japanese).
Luckily for the lost and angsty teen living inside her, Kōri-oujo has parents who spoil her way too much and had the court magicians conjure up streaming equipment. (She somehow was able to pantomime and draw what she wanted and after several summoned microwaves, she got her beloved technology back.)
Kōri-oujo decided to become a VTuber in order to try and stay connected with Earth...and to ignore the impending doom of the war outside her castle.
